Custom Countertops Made Well

Romarts Marble & Granite

Template Checklist

  1. Existing countertops must be removed before the date unless you have requested that Romarts perform the tear-out and removal of the existing countertop.

  2. All base cabinets and supports must be permanently installed, leveled, aligned, and anchored or secured to the wall or floor with the sub-top installed and counter space cleared. If receiving a full-height splash behind the cooktop, the hood must be properly set for proper measurement.

  3. If the stone will have no lamination, please have the plywood installed flush with the top of the cabinet box.

  4. All end panels, front doors, handles, finish caps, and trim pieces must be placed before the template.

  5. All new or existing sinks, faucets, cooktops, downdrafts (if applicable), and stoves that would be installed must be onsite but unattached and uninstalled at the time of template. (Unless you have a farmhouse sink, please have this installed and made level with the plywood)

  6. Please have the homeowner or decisionmaker onsite at the time of the template; this person may be asked questions and make decisions or voice preference for seam placement.

  7. The customer must provide parking on the template date.

Installation Checklist

  1. Have all plumbing, gas, and electrical unhooked (We are not licensed plumbers or electricians and will not disconnect any plumbing or electrical)

  2. If appliances are left at the time of installation, Romarts will not be responsible for any damage that may occur.

  3. Make sure any sink or cooktop cabinet is empty

  4. Please have pathways clear of furniture and any other obstacles

  5. The customer must provide parking on the installation date.

  6. Since counters are very heavy and may cause serious injury if dropped, please keep small children and animals away from the work area

  7. During the installation, a substantial number of trips will be made from the workspace to the outside

  8. The customer is responsible for floor protection. Romarts employees will not remove shoes during installation and will make any effort to keep the work area clean. Still, Romarts will not be responsible for minor dust or debris from installation.

  9. Our installers are careful not to damage walls or trim as they remove your existing countertops and install your new ones. However, it is virtually impossible not to have some marks left that may need to be touched up. Romarts is not responsible for these repairs.

  10. Please have the homeowner or decisionmaker onsite at the time of template; this person may be asked questions at the time of installation and if you have any fixtures that you would like holes drilled for, such as an air gap, garbage disposal button, soap dispenser, etc.; please have these onsite and be available to direct the guys as to where you would like the holes drilled.

  11. Undermounted sinks will need 24 hours to cure before plumbing can be connected.
